Here in this article you will get quiz on the commutative property of union between two sets for beginners. Before the quiz, we will learn about the commutative property of union.
Commutative Property of Union
The commutative property states that there is no change in the result if you change the order of combining the two sets.
Mathematically Representation
For any two sets A and B,
A∪B = B∪A
Example
Let set A={a,b} and set B={b,c,d}.
Then,
A ∪ B = {a,b} ∪ {b,c,d}
= {a,b,c,d}
Now, if we change the order of the sets, there is no change in the result. This is actually the commutative property of union.
B ∪ A = {b,c,d} ∪ {a,b}
= {a,b,c,d}
So,
A∪B = B∪A
